Join me, Robin in the Road, for an in-depth trip to the Robert Russa Moton Museum in Farmville, VA. Learn how a group of students led by 16-year-old Barbara Johns made it's way all the way up to the Supreme Court. This is a Civil Rights must! Follow the students in the original high school as they protest for a new school only to find that the real battle is with segregation. Their case Davis v School Board Prince Edward County will join four other cases and be heard before the Supreme Court as Brown v The Board of Education, Topeka Kansas. After the court rules against segregation, we see the Virginia Political machine fight and back and finally Prince Edward County close public school for four years in order not to de-segregate. Learn about the men who step forward from the local community, the NAACP, Dr. Martin Luther King, Robert F. Kennedy and President John F. Kennedy, step in to help get the kids back to school.
