CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - CPD (Chicago Police Department) released body camera footage of an incident where a Chicago police officer fired shots after being struck by stolen vehicle in Hyde Park on the south side.

On August 29, 2020, CPD officers saw a stolen vehicle within the 4900 block of South Lake Shore Drive. While officers tried to stop the vehicle, the driver of the alleged stolen vehicle struck an officer, and the officer fired his service weapon. No one was struck, and the vehicle fled the scene, police said.
