MILD TEMPERATURES ARE WONDERFUL FOR THE ORCHIDS, during winter, because they keep on growing, and a little faster than they normally would, BUT, and there is always a BUT... mild winter temperatures are also dangerous for the #orchids because the pests are having a field trip as well. The adults keep producing, the eggs do not get killed off my the cold nights, so... the cycle is continuous, AND to top it all off, the #pests that are around during the cooler months of the year, are in actual fact more destructive because their #biologicalclock ticks in panic mode, so they attack faster and more aggressively in a move of desperation to repeat their cycle before the climate conditions take them out. This winter, it is the first time that I have to be super vigilant with my #collection and I have noticed some unwanted guests confusing my orchids with their lunch!
