MEDITERRANEAN STYLE SPICY BURGER served with
SPICY GREEN TOMATO FETA CHEESE SALAD

High Protein, No Carb Meal Ideas
Prep time 15 minutes
Cooking time 30-40 mins

INGREDIENTS

2 lbs Ground Beef
2-3 Whole Fresh Garlic
¼ of a large Onion or ½ of a small
A few leaves of Fresh Parsley,
1 Red Habanero Pepper (remove seeds)
1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
1 Tablespoon of Blue Cheese Dip (plain yoghurt)
A pinch of salt to bring out the taste
A pinch of Black Pepper
1-2 Grenadian Big Thyme (Cuban Thyme) Leaf
¼ teaspoon of Grounded Cajun Pepper
¼ teaspoon of Grounded Cayenne Pepper

OVERNIGHT BURGER MARINATE
In a food processor grind (or finely chop) the garlic, onion, parsley, lime juice, habanero pepper and thyme leaf. If onion bits are not completely grounded, it’s okay. Alternatively, you can chop or dice with a sharp knife.

In a large bowl add the ground beef, cajun pepper, cayenne pepper, salt & black pepper, then add the grounded mix into the bowl and mix well. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for 2 -3 hours before using. For the BEST result, leave the mix overnight in the refrigerator.

SPICY GREEN TOMATO FETA CHEESE SALAD
½ cup crumbles feta cheese
½ of a small green tomato chopped
¼ of large onion or ½ of a small onion chopped
½ of small chilli pepper few slices
¼ teaspoon lemon juice
Pinch of black pepper
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and leave to rest (in or out of the refrigerator)

High Protein Breakfast Option

2 eggs
1 green onion
1 large tablespoon of feta cheese
A pinch of chilli pepper
A pinch of salt for taste

Mediterranean Spicy Burger served with Canadian Wild Rice
High Protein Dinner option

1 cup of wild rice
1 ½ cups of water
1 chopped green onion

OVEN INSTRUCTION
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Grill in the oven for 30 -45 minutes – Depending on your oven and your preference for rare, medium or well-done burgers.

ALTERNATIVE INGREDIENTS
Grenadian Big Thyme (Cuban Thyme) Leaf - regular thyme (small leaves) are great options
Red Habanero Pepper - Use chilli, Hot sauce or Bell pepper if you don’t want too much spicy.
Blue Cheese Dip – Yogurt, cream cheese, and a creamy salad dressing can be a substitute.
