Mark 7:7 King James Version
7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

AND START FOLLOWING AND SUBMITTING TO GOD!!! GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA GANG!!!

As I was reading this morning’s passage of Scripture, I was reminded of Matthew 23, and how Jesus stands against the duplicity of the scribes and the Pharisees, exposing not just their hypocrisy, but their willingness to rationalize, as well as justify their sins. He challenges their insistence on following man-made, made-up traditions, over following what God's word really says, and I think that very much applies to today. I got to thinking about how we tend to rationalize things in our own lives, especially the mistakes we make, the sins we do, and more so, and the questions from this morning's devotional especially, very much challenged my heart and I'd like to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions very carefully, and I pray that God will challenge you through them too.

In what areas of your life do you find yourself rationalizing?

How do these rationalizations square with the wisdom of the Bible?

I'd like to share this vlog I did today with all of you on this matter, in hopes that you will see that when you try to rationalize the things that you do, when compared to God's Word it will never measure up. That when you try to use your personal preferences, interpretations, and/where beliefs of scripture, against what God's Word truly says, that the only thing that's going to get you, is a reality check from God. Come join me in this vlog, and learn for yourself how important it is to not allow yourself to give in to the selfish tendencies of rationalization, but to submit yourself to the guidance of the Holy Spirit so that you can follow your Heavenly Father's instructions. 😊

So, as I close this post for tonight, I pray that you are willing to examine your hearts to carefully find areas in your life where maybe you're rationalizing something that doesn't please God. Choose to confess that sin, turn away from it and forsake it. Remember as Tim stated so very well, “Rationalization can be so subtle. With it we avoid the responsibilities, explain away selfish behavior, and reject God's direct commands.” If that describes YOUR behavior, you're deceiving yourself. Go to the Lord today, confess this sin of rationalizing, and using your personal preferences of scripture, and start truly following God! Ask God for wise discernment in these situations, and to rescue you from the denial of your own guilt. Ask him to help you continue to live in step with the Holy Spirit, so that you can truly follow God's word, and not what someone else says God's word says!

UNTIL FRIDAY MY FRIENDS;

HAVE A BEAUTIFUL, SWEET, AND BLESSED EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS!!!
