Chicken Sweeping For Bed/Perch Training

The pullets go nuts on their first few nights, and as soon as the light goes down they bolt. We've got to sweep them away from the fence and try and get them to clump near the caravan (so its easier for us to put them on the perches and shut the doors).

3 days of this, and they'll all go in by themselves each night, and then we can shift the caravans around at night while they're full.

It's funny. if you shift the caravan a few meters too far during the day, as the sun goes down, they'll just stay in a clump where the caravan was. Very frustrating, but amusing to see their homing beacons messing up.

We keep a fluffy white dog in each yard to protect from foxes and cats.
