Tommy DeLago has been to the top of the mountain in drag racing. As crew chief for Matt Hagan at Don Schumacher Racing when he won the 2011 NHRA nitro Funny Car world title. He's contended for several others. However, racing is fickle and regression always claws at the leaders. Without a contract as the 2018 season concluded, Tommy was ready for it all to conclude. He pivoted and began again...like champions do.

That is until the start of the 2022 season when the NHRA welcomed him back. His long time friend and Crew Chief Mike Green, also a world title winner, called and offered a special job for Tommy. It's working. Tommy notes team owner Dustin Davis' trust in his crew as a healthy aspect of a team that's fast and competitive for the title.

Tommy DeLago is a 1987 graduate of Benicia High School. This is his second visit to the Break It Down Show with Pete A Turner and Jon Leon Guerrero.
