Why is objecting to the election acceptable for Pence, but not Trump?

Pence said, "I stand with Donald Trump" and "I promise you come this Wednesday, we'll hear the objections, we'll hear the evidence".

Why does the Jan 6 Commission find it unacceptable that anyone, especially Trump, question the election results, and object, but when Pence did it 2 days before Jan 6 in Milner, Ga, they give him a pass.

If Pence can object the election results and promise to hear objections, it's ok for anyone else to, you, me, Trump.
