NT Bible Study 6: Virgin Mary: Annunciation and Visitation (Nativity of Jesus part 2)

This is a Bible study on the events surrounding the Nativity of Jesus Christ. This second part focuses on the Annunciation of the Angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary that Jesus would be born and Mary's Visitation to her cousin, Elisabeth (the mother of John the Baptist). (Primary scripture: Luke 1:24 – 56). Also, we look at the Greek word (brephos) used By Elisabeth -- while filled with the Holy Spirit -- to describe "the babe" (or brephos) when she said "...the babe leaped in my womb...". (Other verses briefly referenced Mark 13:11; Luke 2:12, 2:16, 18:15; Acts 7:19; 2 Timothy 3:15; and 1 Peter 2:2.) Overall this is our 6th New Testament (NT) Bible Study. I'm a layperson, hoping to witness things I believe I've learned through Bible study, and would like to share this information as a friend would with a friend.
