Introducing Korena

Hi, I’m Korena Darnelle

As a singer, writer, birth, and lifestyle photographer life can be busy, but I make the time to cherish those moments that matter most. Right now I’m balancing the best of both worlds of being an employee as well as an entrepreneur hoping that someday soon I’ll fully be able to be a thriving artist.

I’ve always had a love for the arts from an early age, dabbling in the likes of painting and poetry. But society said, to go to school, learn well and get a job, and being an artist wasn’t on the list. So I did my best through school got pretty decent grades and studied Computer Science.

But spending ten years behind a desk, doing something I didn’t love, just didn’t feel right. Listening to the like of Steve Harvey and Les Brown and even Eric Thomas, talking about the value of life and following your talents, motivated me to jump. So here I am. Finally working on my songs, writing my first book “Gimme a Home Birth”, the first of many to come, and pushing past the fear of failure to embrace who God destined for me to be.

So I hope you’ll follow me along my journey and hopefully I encourage you to start living your real life as well.
