CrossTalk | Client state?

Western leaders have a habit of reminding us ‘nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.’ This is rather curious as Ukraine has been a western client state since the coup against the democratically elected government in 2014. But there may be a caveat here and it is called ‘wag the dog.’
