IT Management 101: Managing an Agile Software Development

Managers need to be trained on how to work with an Agile work team. Included in this statement is that the functional managers that are supported by IT need to understand that Agile is a better, faster, and more effective approach to developing software. Managing an agile software development is different than managing a functional effort outside of IT management. IT leaders and functional leaders need to be on the same page when supporting agile software development teams no matter what Agile method is used.
