From 1973-1995, Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood was home to The Decade. What started as a place for up and coming bands to make a name for themselves quickly turned into a national showcase for rock acts like The Ramones, The Police, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Pat Benatar, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many others.
This explainer video tells the story of the Decade's rise to legendary status and how it became a must-play venue for so many artists.
