Why no OE Duolingo? In Defence of Grammar Books

It would undervalue the use of grammar books. If one wants to be excellent in any speech, a grammar book would be his best speech-companion. Grammar-books require one to have discipline, steadfastness, effort, patience, focus, tongue-wit, and other auspicious qualities. They teach the principles of speech itself by explaining what part of speech is what in clear-cutness. By this, one is then battle-shaped by linguistic terms and thus is on his quest to become a respectable linguist. By having the companions of grammar-books, the learner in asking can actually name the authors of said books. While Duolingo, often, the learner in asking knows not the name of the people behind the speech-course. I refuse to diminish the very authors of grammar-books of my learning of the speech of my forefathers to be reduced to possibly foot-notes of irrelevance. Dear ancestors, your works are valued. I honour your works, and as a service to you, I learn from your very grammar-books. The author of a grammar-book is like a dear grandfather unto his beloved grandson. Respect your ancestors and their works. Unfortunately due to modernity, most people want the quicker and the easier with little effort as possible. Bear in mind this, Anything of good value requires time, patience, and effort.
