Mark 9:14-29 I Believe; Help My Unbelief

Here we are again, the disciples have failed miserably. Well, this sounds familiar.

But now their failure is in front of a large crowd and also before the religious leaders of the day. They must have been embarrassed and ashamed.

Have you ever felt that way? Or natural tendency in those situations is to run and hide but there is nowhere for them to go.

Who can cover their shame? Who can calm their fears? What's the answer? Jesus!

Jesus comes to the rescue. He challenges the religious leaders. He delivers a boy from a demon. And, he counsels His disciples with these three very important truths. They needed to know them and so do we:
The Ruthlessness of Evil
The Reality of Faith
The Reliance on Prayer.

Jesus comforts us in facts that:
True saving faith is based on the object of your faith (the foundation): the Person and Work of Jesus.
And that it is not about the proportion of your faith but about the presence of your faith.

Be encouraged!
