Word 1
JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 5:29-37
• Matt. 5:29-30 Someone told the story of one of his friends, a wonderful Christian brother, is a blind man. Yet, his number one problem is lust. Therefore, Jesus is not talking about physically poking out an eye or chopping off a hand. Rather, He's saying, "Deal violently and directly with any part of your being—your activities, your hobbies, your schedule—that is leading you to sin. It's destructive, so deal with it decisively."

Word 2
JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew Mathew 5:29-37
• Matt. 5:31-32 Divorce is as hurtful and destructive today as in Jesus' day. God intends marriage to be a lifetime commitment (Gen_2:24). When entering into marriage, people should never consider divorce an option for solving problems or a way out of a relationship that seems dead. In these verses, Jesus is also attacking those who purposefully abuse the marriage contract, using divorce to satisfy their lustful desire to marry someone else. Are your actions today helping your marriage grow stronger, or are you tearing it apart?

Word 3
JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew Mathew 5:29-37
• Matt. 5:33-37 Here, Jesus was emphasizing the importance of telling the truth. People were breaking vows and using sacred language casually and carelessly. Keeping vows and promises is important; it builds trust and makes committed human relationships possible. The Bible condemns making vows or taking oaths casually, giving your word while knowing that you won't keep it, or swearing falsely in God's name. Jesus told his followers not to use them—their word alone should be enough. Are you known as a person of your word? Truthfulness seems so rare that we feel we must end our statements with "I promise." If we tell the truth all the time, we will have less pressure to back up our words with an oath or promise.

Personal Supplication
Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to mean Yes, when I say it and to mean No, when I say it. James 5:12
12 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment.

Daily Protection Covenant Declaration
Father, by the Blood of Jesus, purge my heart and purify my thoughts, intents, and actions in Jesus' name! Heb 9:13-14
13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh,
14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Because I have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, my habitation;
There shall no evil befall me neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling.
For God shall give his angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways.
They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.
I shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet.
Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set me on high, because I have known His name.
I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me.

With long life will God satisfy me, and shew me His salvation.
So shall it be for me and my household today and forever, Amen and Amen!

JESUS IS LORD!
