Thomas Hartle is a 54-year-old husband, father, and IT professional who has been dealing with stage 4 colon cancer since 2016. He was the first Canadian to receive a Section 56 exemption to receive psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy which helped him cope with debilitating anxiety about his future and that of his family. He has received substantial improvement in his wellbeing and is now an advocate for accessibility of this treatment for others.
Thomas is involved in a challenge which is being spearheaded by TheraPsil, to deregulate psychedelic therapy in Canada.
