Henry Portrait Of A Serial Killer (1986) was very different from all of the slasher movies from the 80s, most of them where about supernatural villains, such as Freddy from Nightmare on Elm Street or a crazy person killing people, like Michael Myers in the Halloween series.

Henry was more of a normal, everyday man, but had psychotic tendencies. The movie was an amazing character study of a serial killer, if he lived in America and would kill people at random.
