- Three factors which limit runners:
1. Your lungs - you'll feel a stitch in your side or your breathing will slow you down.
2. Your joints - the body will feel stiff on that first mile until you work the stiffness out in Mile 2.
3. Your muscles - your body is just underdeveloped or your muscles aren't strong enough to take you to 3rd Gear.
