Do we have another otter in the pond? Sharon will take out the Polaris Ranger Northstar (yes, even she likes the heat!) and investigate the unusual open water on our otherwise frozen farm pond to see if she can find any useful evidence. We suspect that either a muskrat (s) or Otter (s) is keeping this area of the pond from freezing, neither of which are that good for a pond! Otters will catch and kill many large fish and can wipe out entire fish populations since they are such incredible fish hunters! Muskrats will burrow into your pond dams and cause pond dam leaks. Neither of these 2 are good options for ponds. Also we'll get some other updates and check out a couple of project videos coming out soon and get an update on our semi tame opossum, aka 'Opie.'
