Fun facts
The largest moon of Saturn
A dense atmosphere with stable lakes and rivers
The atmosphere is mostly Nitrogen (like Earth)
Average temperatures of -179 C
It has a methane cycle like Earth has a water cycle
Discovered in 1655 by Christian Huygens
Saturn’s moons give her rings by shepherding the ice

Saturn has 83 moons
Titan is a quarter the size of the Earth
24 of Saturn’s moons are in regular orbits
59 moons are in irregular orbits, more distant and possibly retrograde

Lower troposphere: 95.0% N2, 4.9% CH4;
Surface 97% N2, 2.7±0.1% CH4, 0.1–0.2% H2
The methane cycle allows rain of methane.
The moon is weathered with complex formations created by the methane cycle.

Christian Huygens in 1655. Christian had been making telescopes with his brother. Titan was the sixth moon discovered after Earth’s moon and five Jupiter ones.
