Here scattered anti-personnel high-explosive mines PFM-1, or "petals" (butterfly mines) in vernacular language, are visible on the ground. These mines are never placed manually, but always by remote delivery, either by an attack aircraft dropping cassettes, or using MLRS, as was recently the case in the Avdeyevka direction.
Barely noticeable in the grass they require very little pressure force of 5-25 kg. Despite the fact that the production of petals has long been discontinued, there are still plenty of these mines in the Ukrainian warehouses.
