My introduction to KurtzPel

I picked up KurtzPel when I learned it's part of the Grand Chase world. When the game first released I didn't own a pc but I now have some issues. My home internet is crap and I've been lagging throughout my gameplay. I don't know how to turn off (hide) other players in town which would cut down the lag drastically (I hope). I enjoy seeing random custom characters but navigating through it hurts.
