Watercolor Street Scene Tutorial | Baohong watercolor paper review

I picked up some Baohong 'The Master's Choice' 300gsm/140lb, 100% Cotton, Cold Pressed watercolour paper to do this review and demonstration!

In this video, I demonstrate how this paper performs by showing you how to paint a street scene of Sydney (Town Hall). I talk through my initial impressions of the paper, as well as the texture and general performance of the paper compared to Arches and Saunders Waterford paper (same weight and cold pressed.

I wasn't able to find this specific line of Baohong paper on Amazon, but found the 100% Cotton / Cold Press MEEDAN range which has very similar specs (affiliate links):

Overall my impressions were positive, and I've noticed the paper has an interesting and beautiful texture to it - the grain is close together, and the paper has a 'high white' colour.
