Mingo Falls, Cherokee, NC -- 4K Cinematic

Mingo Falls is an absolutely gorgeous waterfall on the Cherokee Reservation Land near the Great Smoky Mountain National Park near the Maggie Valley. The drive to Mingo Falls is scenic all by itself. You can opt to take several routes, either through Cherokee proper or the Blue Ridge Parkway also has an exit nearby. The Great Smoky Mountains offer a scenic backdrop to this part of North Carolina. Mingo Falls Trail is located off of route 1410 which moves along the scenic Raven Fork River. It is an extremely short hike at 0.3 miles RT and only a 98 ft elevation change. The trail is pretty well-manicured with build wooden stairs and a nice wooden bridge structure at the end. The trail is wide but does have a few large rocks embedded along the way, so wear proper shoes. There appears to be several hotels and rest areas along the route, so spending the night to make the most of the trip should be easy. Please remember on this short hike to slow down and enjoy the journey. This is one of the WC 100 Challenge.
