Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg, Manirtoba in 2006.

It was an absolute gorgeous summer back in 2006! I remember it well.

Yes, all photography is mine, as is all photography in all my videos and picture montages on this channel.

I was a bit disappointed to see that they had removed the monkeys! But, my favorite Zoo friends of all time (which I remember from when I was a young lad) the Prairie Dogs, were still there at the time. They have since upgraded and changed the Zoo once again, and I checked it out a few years ago, but found that I miss the old Park and Zoo, the monkeys and the Prairie Dogs, which are also now gone as well as some other Kool exhibits and animals (they had crocodiles at one time back in the 1970s, believe it or not). You can walk in a see through tunnel now and watch the Polar Bears swim overhead, but, besides that, well, it's OK, I suppose.

I have captured, for the most part, however, the spirit and essence of the good ole days of the Assiniboine Park Zoo.
