The Death of House Bill 10

Here is a play-by-play on statements made during the Health Subcommittee hearing on House Bill 10, the Religious Exemption Protection Act, on Tuesday, March 2nd.

The bill died in committee. And clearly, our lawmakers do not understand the meaning of a religious exemption, much less the constitutional security of a right of conscience. Further, the Tennessee General Assembly has decided to leave its options open in terms of mandating vaccines over various portions of the population. But don't let that worry you. They say they'll never do it.

It was a hard loss. But the win is that you get to see what we are up against. And now it is time to work that much harder coming into 2022.
