VILUX budget binoculars, are they good or garbage?

VILUX 12x40 compact binoculars. Budget binoculars with some high end features. A step up from smaller 6x or 8x power scopes. Rugged and inexpensive enough to loan out to young kids without too much worry about them getting damaged.
***UPDATE*** While I was underwhelmed when I reviewed these binoculars, I have since found they are much better than the Barska Colorado scope that I reviewed. I would recommend these hands down over that spotting scope. https://youtu.be/Zo4_o2QCiTQ
