John 15:13 Greater love has no on than this

On this Memorial Day, we can choose to close our eyes to the sacrifices soldiers on the shores of Normandy made to push back evil or we can humbly give thanks that darkness was halted in their day and pray for the courage to oppose it in our day. Similarly, we can also turn our eyes from the cross of Christ & cast them upon every failure of the historical institutional church, upon every social ill that still plagues humanity, upon every pleasure & distraction which lures us away OR we can give thanks for the immeasurable gift Jesus gave us when He laid down His life to save ours, choosing to follow in His sacrificial footsteps & praying for the courage to oppose all forces of evil in our day.
