New body-cam footage released by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Friday shows the moments right before a deputy shot an armed woman in Paradise Valley on June 26.

MCSO was serving a search warrant at a home near Tatum Boulevard and Lincoln Drive as part of an ongoing investigation. Deputies attempted to contact the woman, later identified as Theresse Danielle Federico, at the door. Investigators said Federico had a handgun pointed at deputies as she went into the kitchen. In the short video, she's clearly visible -- gun in hand -- through the kitchen window. A deputy is then heard shouting at Federico to put the gun down. She did not. The deputy then fired a single round through the window. It was over in seconds.

Federico was hit but her injury was not life-threatening, according to MCSO.

The agency has not said anything about the investigation that took deputies to Federico's home.

The incident is currently under review by the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.

This body-cam video is one of two MCSO released Friday. The other video is not related to what happened in Paradise Valley. It showed a deputy who was shot at while on a call in Youngtown.
