Mercury as Atmakarka

When mercury is the planet that holds the highest degree excluding the nodes, you embody the true nature of that planet and are reincarnated to grow as a soul by using the positive traits of it. We are all here to learn lessons of our Ak and use their better qualities. A well placed, strong Ak by house, sign or direction is witty, intellectual, observant, excellent at communicating, friendly, multi talented and flexible. It likes connecting people, is a dab hand at technology, great at self expressing through art, writing, singing, comedy etc. The English expression”There’s no flies on you” is about a smart Mercury. They are super swift at learning and can work things out brilliantly. On the darker side, Mercury which is the baby of the zodiac can display immaturity, childish behaviour, be gossipy and jealous. They can troll people and use their language and communication skill to upset others which causes them health issues in the long term as they are most likely to get digestive, respiratory and nervous issues. Look at Mercury in the D9 and if it has progressed to an angular or trine house from the sign in the D1, eg. If in D1 it is in Sagittarius but it moves to Leo in D9, then you know that time will help you stabilise your talents in a positive manner. If not you have the choice to use your will and improve your Ak yourself.
