Let's go camping in Japan! This was a Japan solo camp at Nishi-Tanzawa Well Camp in Kanagawa Prefecture near Tokyo. If you want good place for camping in Japan Alone near Tokyo this is the place. About 15 min from Lake Tanzawa.

Tanzawa well camp is the first place I ever went camping in Japan over 20 years ago. It is a special place. Nowadays it can get crowded on the weekends but if you're lucky enough to get away during the week, you can be nearly alone!

If you're in the area and you want to try camping in japan then I do recommend Nishi-Tanzawa Well Camp. The staff is friendly and helpful to Gaijin. Cost was 4000 Yen per night during this winter solo camp. Price may very depending on the season and if it's a weekend or holiday.
