Bounty Box Unboxing: https://www.cigarscore.com/unboxing-bounty-box-coffee-cigars-october-2020/

The Gangster from Bounty Coffee and Cigars is the third cigar I've reviewed from this boutique company based in one of my favorite places, Costa Rica.

Unlike the Pura Vitamina and the Alpha Dog cigars, the Gangster is quite large. It's medium in color and the wrapper is somewhat dry.

After cutting the end with my guillotine, the draw was just about perfect. And, after smoking the other cigars from Bounty Box, I expect the construction of this cigar to be impeccable as well. Once I lit the Gangster, the flavors were very light and quite mild.

In the first third of the cigar, I tasted light citrus notes along with some interesting creaminess. The draw did tighten up just a bit, and the burn was slightly uneven. However, the cigar has a long way to go, and I'm optimistic about it.

Through the middle of the Bounty Box Gangster, the draw was a little tight and I wished I could get more smoke in each puff. Also, a few cracks developed that I shared in the video. As of about the 40-minute mark, the flavors were definitely out-shining the construction.

Final Thoughts

For most of the cigar, despite what I thought at the very beginning, the Gangster had a tight draw. And, as a result, I had to keep puffing on it to not only taste the cigar but to keep it lit. However, the burn was actually quite even throughout the smoke and I didn't have to retorch it all.

While I've really enjoyed the cigars from Bounty Box, this Gangster wasn't quite up to par, with a few construction issues really hurting the overall experience. However, saved by some really enjoyable flavors, the Bounty Box Gangster earns a CigarScore 3.
