Russian Ops in Ukraine: West Changes Tune as Russian Gains Continue

Update on Russian military operations in Ukraine for May 28, 2022:

- Ukrainian defenses begin collapsing across Donbas;
- Salient around Popasnya continues to expand in all directions;
- Russian forces take Lyman and continue advance toward Sloviansk;
- Western media begins shifting to panic over Ukraine’s prospects;
- West moving toward sending multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS);
- Western MLRS give no advantage to Ukraine over Russia;
- MLRS were in Ukraine’s arsenal in late February but have since been reduced;
- Russian MLRS are equal or better than Western systems and also more numerous;
- Pentagon admits Russian making progress despite most Western weapons arriving on the front line.
