A long discussion with a sleepy Arthur about rescuing horses and horse ownership in Australia

Like a hopeful parent, I was grooming Arthur this evening and I noticed three things:
He was dropping less feed
His skin was clearing up where he had scabby lumps
He was looking better
I haven't pulled out the archive of photos, but I think he may have put on just a little weight. It's hard to notice when I have a magnifying glass on him. But there is an expectation of a certain rate of weight gain give or take and he is dropping a lot of feed.
I'm feeling hopeful.
I have to tell you he is a keeper, I will do what I can for his care. I don't want to let him down.
I left him with his feed to get the camera and he followed me.
After I took the video to and put the camera away and went to wash my hands, he followed me again and was waiting for me around the corner. So I went and rested my head against him for a while and we rested together in silence. He attaches easily to his kind humans and I don't want to put him through any more angst.
He's a darling soul.
Don't worry I led him back to his feed bucket before I came inside.
Please say little prayers or send out kind thoughts for Arthur, all these things help our universe. Thank you.
