A wild incident in Manhattan left one man stabbed, sent a driver backing their car toward a cop and an officer firing off one round from his weapon, authorities said.

As of later Saturday afternoon, police were still piecing together the incident, which unfolded around 10:50 a.m., police said.

The episode began when a man was stabbed in the stomach by a knife-wielding attacker at Ninth Avenue and West 203rd Street in Inwood cops said. The stabber then drove off in an older-model gold car, authorities said.

Police investigating the knifing stopped a vehicle, only to have the driver throw the car in reverse and back up toward the officer as they approached, the NYPD said. The cop then fired their weapon, and the car in question sped off. Cops do not believe the bullet struck anyone.

“The perp and the stabbing victim are known to each other and may have had a business beef,” a police source said.

Another source said the suspect fled the scene in a gold Honda Civic that was registered in New York. It all started as a dispute involving a man with a machete, and at least four cars had been damaged during the episode, the source added.

The NYPD could not confirm that and offered no other details. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing, cops said.
