Dash and bodycam video shows fiery aftermath of 9-car crash on I-75

Police bodycam video shows the aftermath of a crash in Alachua County.

According to the Alachua County Sheriff, it happened Monday at the Alachua exit on Interstate 75.

One deputy pulls up to the scene and immediately notices a woman still trapped inside her car.

He asks if she can get out if he breaks the window and she says yes. The deputy proceeds to pull her from the vehicle.

As that was happening, a tractor-trailer involved in the crash was engulfed in flames.

The deputy helps a woman with three small children move away from the wreckage.

"There's diesel fuel all over the interstate, we have to move these people back," he said.

The deputy comforts the crying children and offers to let them meet his K-9.

Crews were able to put out the fire within minutes.

Several people were taken to the hospital, but everyone is expected to be OK.
