A fallen tree scares the brumby mares into the next paddock. A wombat finds as flood waters decline

The brumby girls, Halo and Ava, can move between the two paddocks, so can our Arabian girl Ruby. The two boys, Banjo and Paddy cannot and they are the two that need to be contained, so it works well most of the time.

The brumby mares preferred to be on their own in a paddock and Ruby preferred to be with the boys. A fallen tree has scared the brumbies across, as it landed reasonably close to where the girls shelter.

In the meantime one of our resident wombats has surfaced in the reducing flood waters. I thought he/she was digging, but he was just having a feed.

The rain is set to clear overnight and we should get some better weather. We cannot get out of our road though, as it's been severely damaged.
