Authorities have released body camera video of a shooting that involved an Oklahoma City police officer earlier this month.

Around 5:50 p.m. March 2, Officer Bryce Sheehan responded to a report of a disturbance or suspicious person in the 2300 block of South Kate Avenue. Police said Sheehan found the suspect near Southeast 21st Street and Emco Drive.

"You got any weapons? Can I pat you down real quick, make sure you don't have any weapons?" Sheehan said in the video.

The newly released video shows the suspect pulling out a gun and firing at Sheehan from point-blank range.

Sheehan returned fire, and the suspect ran to the officer's car and tried to steal it before running away. Sheehan could then be seen walking away and putting a tourniquet on himself after being shot in the leg.

The Oklahoma City Police Department used a drone to find the suspect, who was hiding outside a nearby home. Authorities say officers took him into custody and provided first aid after seeing he had been shot.

The suspect was taken to a hospital and later died. Police identified him as Crasteven Kennon Wilson, 23.

Sheehan was treated and released from OU Medical Center. He was placed on routine administrative leave.
