It has been reported that Britain has been meeting with its allies to send warships to the Black Sea to protect Ukrainian grain freighters. The British daily the Times wrote in this move that Britain aims to break Russia's blockade within weeks by creating a "protective corridor" in the Bosphorus of Istanbul from Odesa.
Recently, the United States also announced that Russia is working on a plan to send long-range ships to Ukraine to break its blockade over the ports and prevent an upcoming food crisis.
British Foreign Minister Liz Truss has also been quoted as knocking on the door of some NATO countries regarding the corridor project from the Bosphorus raised by Britain to Odysseus. Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis also said that countries dependent on grain exports are expected to be part of the plan.
