On 26 March 2022 at approximately 7:50 PM, 28-year-old TEKIEL K. MITCHELL and 23-year-old ADOFFEE WILLIAMS were apprehended at 1401 Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard as a result of a traffic stop; where suspected MDMA pills (trafficking weight ), raw marijuana, two firearms (one being stolen and converted to fire fully automatic ), a suppressor, extended magazines for various weapon platforms, various small arms cartridges, $1450 USD, 7- Ski masks and other various tools/evidence were recovered during the investigation.

Each week officers make hundreds of traffic stops for reasons ranging from erratic driving, red-light or stop sign violations, and suspended tags, to stolen vehicle hits on LPRS, etc. These traffic stops are a key part of our crime reduction efforts. What many see as a routine traffic stop, can sometimes result in a much bigger outcome than expected, such as finding stolen weapons, illegal drugs, identifying wanted persons, or identifying convicted felons who continue to engage in criminal activity.

The effort and attention to detail by the Zone 1 FIT team in this incident, is to be commended. This is another example of just very good police work.

Officers' daily crime fighting successes such as these, do not get the attention they deserve, but we see their work, effort, and results. We want to thank all the officers involved in this incident. Our city is safer because of your commitment to public safety.

Arrestees:
Tekiel Mitchell was charged with trafficking narcotics, seatbelt violation, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, improper turn, and theft by receiving a stolen firearm.

Adoffee Wiliams was charged with possession of narcotics, trafficking narcotics, and seatbelt violation.
