A 25-year-old Brookfield woman, who was wanted by authorities, led multiple police agencies on a wild chase Sunday that left seven police officers injured and a trail of wrecked vehicles in her wake, according to authorities and published reports.

Below is body cam footage from Waterbury police of a portion of the chase, in which the suspect, Hannah Casperson, rammed one of the police vehicles, despite an officer drawing his weapon and ordering her to stop.

Casperson was wanted by Wolcott police in connection with a recent case where 41 vehicles had windows smashed and stolen in that town. On Sunday morning, Casperson was spotted in a white, 2006 Hummer H2 at a grocery store in Wolcott, according to Wolcott police.

Her boyfriend, 31-year-old Naugatuck resident Thomas Crawford, was arrested at the store and charged in connection with the vehicle burglaries.

Casperson, however, sped off in the Hummer as officers tried to approach the vehicle, WTNH-TV reported. She smashed into one police cruiser in the parking lot, and another as she was driving onto Interstate 84.

She led police from multiple agencies on a 25-mile chase, in which she smashed into another five police vehicles and eventually lost control of the Hummer and crashed into a utility pole on Wheeler Road and Monroe Turnpike (Route 111), wrote News 12 Connecticut.

The injured police officers and Casperson, who also was injured, reportedly are being treated at area hospitals.

Monroe police temporarily closed Route 111 on Sunday during the crash investigation, but the road has since been reopened.

Casperson reportedly has two outstanding warrants on charges of failure, and is facing a multitude of additional charges, including reckless endangerment, evading responsibility, engaging police in a pursuit and assault on a police officer, reported News 12 Connecticut's Marissa Alter.
