RULES:
Each player picks a character token. Miss Scarlet goes first then play proceeds clockwise. On your turn roll the die and perform 1 of 4 actions. 1. Move your character token a number of rooms equal to or less than the number you rolled either clockwise or counter clockwise around the board. 2. Use a secret passage to move your token from your current room to the room it is connected to. 3. Stay in the room your token is already in. Or 4. You may make an accusation.

After you perform one of your actions you must make a suggestion for who did it, with what, and where. For example: “I suggest it was Miss Scarlett, with the rope, in the Library.” Then move the character and weapon you suggest to that room, then the player to the left secretly shows you one evidence card from their hand from your suggestion. If they have more than 1 card, then they pick which one to show you, or, if they don’t have a card, then they pass and the next player to the left shows you a card. Repeat the process until 1 other player shows you 1 card. If no other player can show you a card, then the process stops. Mark down any notes on your paper.

Next you play your investigation card. If you have a truth card, read the action aloud then discard the card face down to the discard pile without another player seeing it. If you have a lie card, then you pick one of the 3 actions on the card and read that action aloud then discard the card face down to the discard pile without another player seeing it. If any player thinks you are lying, they may now press the liar button. If they do, then you must reveal your investigation card and follow the instructions on the bottom of the card. If you had a truth card, then you get still perform the action on the card after resolving the reveal. If no player hits the liar button, then perform the action to stated. Once you start performing an action, players are not allowed to press the liar button.

Draw a new investigation card from the investigation draw deck. If there aren’t any cards remaining, shuffle the discard into a new draw deck then draw 1 card. Then your turn ends and the next player clockwise goes.

To make an accusation, at the start of your turn state who you accuse with what weapon and in what room. Your token does not need to be in the accused room for this to happen. Then you secretly look at the cards in the envelope. If you were correct, then you reveal the cards and are the winner. If you were incorrect, then you keep the cards a secret and return them to the envelope and are not allowed to take any more turns but may only show evidence cards when other players make suggestions. If no player guesses the accusation correctly, then everyone loses.
