Una Limosna por el Amor de Dios — Agustín Barrios

Possibly the supreme composition of that most supreme of all classical guitar composers, the Paraguayan Agustín Barrios, as played by David Russell. Una Limosna por el Amor de Dios was written in Barrios’ last days. It’s said that after a period of tranquillity and meditation, Barrios died in El Salvador in 1944; the priest who gave him the last rites proclaimed, "This is the first time I have witnessed the death of a saint."
