The Kansas City Chiefs missed out on signing Jadeveon Clonwey after he re-signed with the Cleveland Browns on a 1-year contract worth up to $11 million. Ian Rapoport reported that NFL teams offered up to $15 million per year for Clowney, but it’s unclear if the Chiefs were one of those teams. The Chiefs have now missed out on Clowney and Melvin Ingram which leaves the DE position thin with Frank Clark and rookie George Karlaftis as projected starters. Chiefs Report host Harrison Graham has 6 NFL Free Agency and trade targets to add help at EDGE.

The Chiefs biggest need remains at EDGE as Brett Veach has not done a good job of adding pass rushers. Robert Quinn trade rumors have been circulating as the Chicago Bears could put him on the NFL trading block. Quinn had 18.5 sacks in 2021 and would instantly be the Chiefs best defensive end. Other Chiefs trade targets include a pair of Jaguars’ pass rushers in Josh Allen and K’Lavon Chaisson. Harrison also mentions Everson Griffen, Jason Pierre-Paul and ex-Chief Justin Houston as 3 potential free agents to sign at DE.
