He said the "breaking point" in the war between the two countries would come by the end of August, with "most of the active combat operations" taking place before the end of the year.

Speaking to Sky News earlier this month, the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency said: “The breaking point will be in the second part of August.

"Most of the active combat operations will end by the end of the year.

"Therefore, we will regenerate Ukraine's power over all the territories that we have lost including Donbas and Crimea."

He added: “Ultimately it will lead to a change of leadership of the Russian Federation.

"This process has been launched and they are moving in that direction."

Russia has been embroiled in too many scandals recently, with its leader in poor health and a power struggle raging in the Kremlin.

Reports have been circulating that PUTIN is "very ill with blood cancer".

Almost two weeks ago, on May 12, he underwent surgery, according to the Telegram channel 'General SVR', which is run by a former Russian spy.
