Unschool DITL / Unschooling Day In The Life / Unschool With Me

Today is a total unschool day for us. We are just getting back from being out of town and slowly getting back into the routine of regular life. Unschooling has peaked my interest for a long time. At first I thought unschooling was crazy. After reading more about it and looking more into it I realized we actually do this a lot more than I thought. Today we decided since it’s windy we are going to fly kites. We did the math inside the store to figure out how much the kites would be, figured the tax, and calculate the price per person. We learned about the history of kite flying and how the Chinese used it as a form of meditation. We learned about the physics of kite flying and how to build a kite. Unschool might be crazy but it’s crazy fun!

We are a homeschooling family with five kids at home, six kids total. Our channel is about large family life, homeschooling, and finding the blessing in everyday. I am currently homeschooling a teenager, two elementary aged children and a preschooler. (I am also homeschooling our toddler-but some people don’t consider that homeschool-I do!)

Not everyday is easy, but everyday is a blessing.

Here on our channel I create a lot of homeschooling content. We are currently using The Good and The Beautiful curriculum for language arts and history.
