Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Treatment is still in evolution. No drugs have been officially approved for the management of this condition. As a result, there are many therapies and drugs that have been tried, some with more success than others, but none of them work equally well in all patients with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Pots is a syndrome, meaning that it is not a separate disease, but a collection of symptoms that occur together. This is one explanation for the failure of any single treatment to be beneficial to all patients with POTS. Although there are many proposals for the pathogenesis of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, none of these serves as a single underlying cause for all the different manifestations of the disease. Many of the treatments that are currently in use are aimed at treating the symptoms, and patients are reported to experience improvement with these symptomatic approaches. Exciting and novel therapies are on the horizon, so we should see more specific and effective Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Treatments (POTS Treatments) soon.
