With football very much a team sport, players who care and play for each other on and off the field usually come out on top. Cheering for the team gives the the players extra encouragement and incentive to fight for every ball. Aside from the fans, injured players still find ways to cheer for the team from the sidelines. Tennessee’s midfield player Maddie Eskin, who had to retire early from the game because of a non-contact ankle injury, gave her team full support even though she was on crutches. Eskin became the unsung hero of the Tennessee soccer team that day!
