Morning Musings #33 - Thoughts on 2.Cor 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers

I received a new insight that came to me this morning I would like to share, and perhaps you have never heard of it before, at least not through my words. And I know that reading about it is not going to have the the same effect as experiencing the 'unveiling' within oneself. But I will share it nevertheless.
Biblical passages all of a sudden hold new meaning, and the story becomes interesting to read again.
2.Cor 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
When you look at the Greek rendering, there are some very interesting words that stood out, but were not chosen for translation, because it did not fit the gospel narrative of the day.
Here is a potential rendering with those words, according to 'my' revelation received (during sleep).
~The god of this age has blinded itself, [the] untrustworthy or incredible... so as to not beam forth the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God.~
According to the revelation given to me, the "god of this age" is our EGO which has blinded us and rendered us untrustworthy, so as to not BEAM FORTH (please note that this implies the glory of the Christ is IN you wanting to beam OUT, it is not incoming light as rendered by the English translations).
Our EGO has prevented us from BEAMING FORTH the glory of the Christ that WE are - the image of God. In the image of God made he them. Gen 1:27
That verse has nothing to do with some "god" entity or Satan outside of ourselves blinding unbelievers, but is the very thing sitting within our own temple declaring itself "god" and keeping us blind to who we are.
It is the 'small self' (ego) obscuring the glorious Christ (higher Self, image of God) from beaming forth.
